Does Clopidogrel 75mg Intake Cause Breathlessness And Inability To Walk?

My husband is on 75 mg clopidogrel. 1 tablet daily. He stays very cold all the time and has problem being able to do any walking. Says he feeling like he just can not get a good breath. Could this med have anything to do with this and how often should blood testing be done? One other thing, he also takes a med for stomach reflux.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Clopidogrel not known to cause breathlessness and improper walking problem as side effects.

The evaluation for that needs to be done through physical examination and chest examination.

Your husband needs to investigate with CBC to rule out anemia. EKG and chest X-ray investigation also advisable.

A neurological examination also should be done as walking is affected.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
