Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I get cortisone injections in my neck. Now I have complications ( orthostatic hypotension) which is secondary to the injections. My PCP suggested Adrenal Insufficiency. Stopping the cortisone is not an option. What else can I do? Thank you for your answer.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Steroid injections tend to reduce adrenal hormone as the gland fails to produce it. So it is desirable to reduce the steroid injection (probably given for cervical spondylitis), manage the pain with physiotherapy, pain medication or spinal surgery as per the need.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
