Does Cortisone Treatment For Pemphigus Vulgaris Cause Dark Patches In Groin?

I had phemphygus vulgaris few years ago... I was on cortisone treatment for a couple of years... I'm noticing I'm getting real dark patches on my buttocks and my groin area... Also sort of a rash... Can this be related to this sickness... Maybe coming back... I noticed it happens when I have alcohol

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have Cortisone treatment for pemphigus vulgaris cause dark patches in groin . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to cortisone as its side effects . I would suggest you to consult to your doctor without any delay and discuss the condition with him . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe some substitute . For now keep that area clean , wear loose cloths and keep it dry .
