General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Diazepam can help with muscle spasm, spasticity and or rigidity. Lower back pain in some cases, doctors prescribe a medicine to relax the muscles (called a muscle relaxant). Diazepam also can help with lower back pain but should be prescribed by your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Heang Chan Raksmey, General & Family Physician
