I was prescribed diclofenac sodium ER 100 mg for swollen big toe joint that gave me trouble when I did heavy yard work. I am concerned about side effects of this drug and haven t taken it yet. I plan to go on hike with my son next week and thought I d wait until I see if my toe joint gets extremely painful again before using it. I trust my physician in prescribing it, I just would like more information about side effects of limited use of this drug. Any comments on using NSAIDs like this one and side effects likely. Thanks
