Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I have a runny nose condition that doesn t appear to be allergy or cold related. I am wondering if it might be attributed to a diuretic medicine I am taking for AF? It is a problem because I am also taking an anticoagulant for the same heart condition. If I blow my nose, I get a nose bleed.
Running nose isn't related with your heart medication but you should get an evaluation for nose bleed and stop oral anticoagulant till that time to avoid massive bleed.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
