Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Nausea and vomiting are a part and parcel of pregnancy.
However, it is rare for it to persist into the second trimester.
Most women experience symptomatic relief by the end of the first trimester.
As you are experiencing it this late, there is no harm in taking the aid of medication.
Untreated nausea and vomiting can literally make pregnancy hell.. as you cannot eat and nourish your baby.
There are no studies which say that doxinate is addictive or has side effects.
There are no major side effects of this drug.
I beg to differ with your doctor.
Any lady who is experiencing nausea and vomiting should take the drug as long as required.
Many take it right into the third trimester also.
Let me suggest a good combination Sinate - OD, it will be long lasting so you need to take just one tablet a day.
Also have small frequent meals, and do not go hungry for long.
Eat what you feel like, avoid eating outside though.
All the best.
Take care.
