Does Doxycycline Affect The Effectiveness Of Depo Provera Shot?

Hai,i took doxyclycline yesterday morning and i went for depo-provera shot sameday.i had sex in the afternoon same day and at nyt i took one tablet of doxy again.can the doxy reduce the effectiveness of the short?and how long can i wait to have sex again?

Doxycycline does not decrease the effectiveness of Depo Provera shot.
Depo-Provera which contains hormone Progesterone starts to work as birth control immediately after the first shot, if you get it within the first 5 days of your menstrual period. It’s 99% effective in preventing pregnancy.
The antibiotic Doxycycline has no documented interaction between Depo-Provera shot and it is not known to decrease its efficacy in preventing the pregnancy. Hope this answers your query.
