Does Duloxetine Cause Tremors In The Body?

My husband started duloxetine hcl 30 mg on 4/06. He has Afib, COPD, type 2diabetes, essential tremors & glaucoma . Since starting the new med. he has had a few times where he feels like he’s shaking bad. He feels like his heart is going 100 mph. He takes the duloxetine at 9:30 every night, along with primidone, atorvastatin, tamsulosin, baby aspirin & 2 Tylenol. Personally, I think he should tell the Dr. & get weaned off this med. thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Tremors are a very common side effect of Duloxetine. This side-effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. If the side effect doesn't go away you should consult your doctor for an alternative medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
