Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex and we were at a party so we drank a lot. He said he’s not sure if he failed to pull out properly, so we bought an escapelle pill. The problem is my period does not come every month due to hormonal problems. Is that a problem and will the pill work?
If you have taken Escapelle tablet within 72 hours and bleeding occurred within 5 to 7 days of taking pills, then there is no need to worry.
If bleeding is not occurred, go for urine pregnancy test after 10 to 15 days of unprotected sex. Otherwise, ultrasonography is accurate for checking pregnancy. So, consult a gynecologist for that.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
