Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor! I ve been trying to conceive for 3 years.. I also have pcos. Have been advised femilion coz my AMH shows a count of 14. I ve taken treatments for the first 2 years.. resulted in weight gain that couldn t be controlled, a lot more facial hair, white patches on face and left my hair extremely dry.. and no success in conceiving.. haven t taken any treatment for a year now. But recently I visited a doctor only to track my ovulation days and she s suggested femilion... Does femilion result in weight gain or any other side effects? And will it help me conceive in future?
From your history, it appears you are overweight. It is essential for you to loose weight.
If using femilon gives you a menstrual bleeding period which lasts for only 4 to 5 days then it is the medicine you can have for the next couple of years to correct your hormonal imbalance.
It is very safe and will help you conceive easily also.
You must get the endometrial thickness of your uterus measured on the 2nd or 3rd day of your period once in six months and if it is 4 mm or less than that then you need not to get any other evaluation done during the treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
