Does Hydrea Interact With Amoxicillin Clavulanate?

I have thrombocytosis, at the age of 88, and my platelets are now down to normal. I have been taking two Hydreas a day. However now another doctor has told me to take Amox-clav for a sinus infection. I m wondering how these two taken together will interact and affect the outcome. Also, sometimes I see thrombocytosis called a cancer and sometimes not. Is it?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to worry for drug interactions with these drugs.
Both are safe in taking together.
And thrombocytosis is not cancer.
It is just high platelet count. Commonly it is seen chronic infections like tuberculosis or fungal infection.
It is also seen when sample was not collected properly.
So it is not cancer.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
