Hi, husband and I trying to conceive our second child. I am 34 and he s 38. He takes hypertension medicine for many years, but we were able to conceive our first child after about 5 months of trying 3 years ago. I do hear that hypertension medicine can affect fertility. Now, he s been on about 5mg of hydrocone a day for a few about 10 months or so. This is the lowest dosage he s taken and he s been on the 5mg for a while now. The most he took was 20mg a day but it wasn t for long. Now, We ve only been trying for 3 months. Would the hydrocone affect his fertility/sperm count? Is it considered Chronic use? Should he get off of it? What about our age as far as being able to conceive?
