Does Januvia Cause Pancreatic Cancer?

I was just put on januvia by my dr along with glimipmiride I recently read a study about increased propensity for pancreatic cancer with this med if not prescribed with metformin since I am not on metformin shoul I ask my pcp to change me to another med in the same class of drug.

Yes, you are right that is some studies said regarding that Januvia alone or in combined form can cause pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer.

But this is not fully approved, so now days Januvia is used worldwide separately or combined with metformin. So, better you consult with dialectologist and, he will adjust doses and medications as per your blood sugar level.
