Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
L argine 3g pack doctor gave for me to increase the liquor level... in that pack they have mentioned as sugar free but afer 2 hours with my normal breakfast the sugar level is 154...so i have a doubt will it(the l argine powder) the reason for high sugar level?
L arginine is used as a health supplement to help in the synthesis of proteins in the body. It is used to increase the muscle mass and strength. Accumulating studies have shown that L arginine has no effect on blood sugar levels and insulin levels. But it may have glucose lowering effect in diabetics.
Definitely, it may have potential to prevent or relieve type 2 diabetes by restoring insulin sensitivity and till date there is no study which may show its glucose increasing effect. Therefore, your thinking of associating this product to increased sugar level is completely unfounded.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
