Does Lasix Reduce The Pounding Heart Beat?

my feet and ankles were swollen, so my doctor prescribed lasix. I have aFib and my heart was pounding/irregular almost all day. On 5/23 I started taking 20 mg lasix, and by 5/25 the swelling was down and I could no longer feel my heart beating. It s still in afib, but I can t feel it-a great relief. Could the lasix have also caused my heart to be less pounding?
