Does Lexapro Cause Mood Swings?

I was prescribed Lexapro and I m scared to take it. I m in graduate school and also a rock climber with competitions coming up. I m scared of the side effects. Will it make me spacy ?? If I lose my edge even for a month I m screwed in school and I could literally die from a small mistake climbing. I m considering just not taking it but I d love to feel better.

Lexapro will not affect your concentration, performance or energy levels. However, some people can experience mild sedation.

Please discuss with your doctor to see the risk vs benefits in your case and decide on taking or not taking the medication.
