Does Lidocaine Cause Stomach Upset?

Hi, my wife just came back from the dentist where she had some major work done. She is 63 and in generally good health, although she does have Asthma. She was given Lidocaine for her procedure. Now she is claiming to have a very upset stomach with pain. We called the dentist and he stated this is an unusual reaction. Can Lidocaine cause a bad upset stomach?

LIDOCAINE IS VERY FREQUENTLY ASSOCIATED WITH PAIN ABDOMEN,STOMACH UPSET,NAUSEA,VOMITING,METALLIC TASTE IN THE MOUTH AND ANXIETY..

IT CAN ALSO WORSEN ASTHMA.
IN DENTAL ANESTHESIA,THESE SIDE EFFECTS ARE COMMON DUE TO EXPOSURE OF THE DRUG TO UNDERLYING NERVES.

MOST OF THE SIDE EFFECTS RELATE TO TECHNIQUES OF ADMINISTRATION.

I PRESCRIBE TAB PANTOPRAZOLE 40mg AND DOMPERIDONE 10mg PER ORAL FOR3 DAYS for the above symptoms.

THE SYMPTOMS RESOLVE BY ITSELF.DO NOT WORRY.

CONCLUSIVE IMPRESSION:
DRUG RELATED SIDE EFFECTS,WILL SUBSIDE ON THEIR OWN.
