Does Lokmal, Amoxil, Artemether And Lumefantrine Cause Fatigue, Body Pain And Fever?

Hi, my name is joshua from nigeria. I ve been down with malaria and tiphoid Simultaneously for about some 4days now. I was giving combiat for the treatment of malaria and amoxil for typhoid. I notice a bitter taste reaction whenever i take the combiat. I was force to stop and now treating on Lokmal -QS a brand of Emzor. Yet am still feeling a feverish, weak and pains around my whole. Can any of the drugs be responsible for this especially Lokmal-QS having 80mg Arthemeter + 480 lumefantrine.

Hi,

These symptoms are because of untreated malaria and typhoid. Artemether and Lumefantrine is best for resistance prevailing areas so it is choice of drug in your case.

However Amoxil is not preferred for typhoid. instead Ceftriaxone is preferred or Ciprofloxacin can be used. So, get admitted in hospital so that proper iv treatment can be started.
