Does Lovastatin Cause Ovarian Cysts?

Have you ever heard of lovastatin causing ovarian cysts? I took it ten yrs ago and had to go to the er was in so much pain. Stop taking it and it went away. Started taking it again a few months ago and went to dr today and have another more cysts. What gives?

I dont see a possible relation between lovastatin and ovarian cysts. Ovarian cysts are in most cases small and asymptomatic and it means that it doesn’t cause any significant symptoms and doesn’t require specific treatment. Cysts usually may grow or decrease depending on hormonal imbalance but medications should not have impact on it.
