Does Meloxicam Affect The Thought Process?

I am taking 7.5 dosage of Meloxicam for arthritis pain. I am soon to be 80. I am no other medicines with exception of vitamins and 80% aspirin. Prior to taking this medication, I was taking Tylenol and switching of and on with ibriprophen (sp). I have been told that the Meloxicam would be better to take everyday rather than when I could no longer stand the pain. What do you advise me to do? I drink lots of water when taking medicine because I don t want to damage liver, kidneys, etc. However, I feel when I take meloxicam that I have difficulty remembering names and places, etc. than I did prior to taking it. Does it affect the thought process? Thanks you.
