Does Methamphetamine Interact With Cleocin?

I have multiple chronic pain issues. I cannot get any doctor to prescribe me what works, which is fentanyl patches, 100mcg, and sometimes various pills from Norco to morphine to oxycodone. Can t get any of them after moving to California. So sometimes I resort to street drugs if only for a moment of relief. Heroin is preferred but pretty much impossible to get. Meth is everywhere and sometimes it helps a lot. Right now however I have two huge angry boils on my lower legs. Today I got a script for Cleocin and would like to know if the meth will interfere with the antibiotic. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Clindamycin does not have any reported interactions with Methamphetamine.

However, it is best to avoid using street drugs for its addiction potential and other adverse health effects.

Please be advised to seek help with quitting if needed. Continue Cleocin as prescribed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
