I have had severe Ra for many years and so bad that I could not turn the key in the car. on and on. About 5 months ago I went to a specialist who suggested Prednisone which I took for a while any way and Methotrextrate. The R%A I at a minimum. I am 89 years old and my legs are painful. They feel like they are being squeesed, to the extent ai cannot stand it. I do not sleep an cannot sit or stand still.Nothing helps. Tonie I cannot settle down and I wonder if it is the Methotrxate. I keep telling myself all this is my age but it isrally awful. I can move more freely but can this be a side affect of the Methotrexate?

Does Methotrexate Cause Pain In The Legs?
Hello, In rheumatoid arthritis immunosuppressant and disease-modifying medication usually prescribed. You have been prescribed both these medications. The painful leg could not be due to methotrexate. Usually, this medication leads to gastric discomfort and headache. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
