Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
l feel nausea everyday I ve been taken metoclopramide for a long time. I take a anti depressant, wellbutrin my doctor told me that I shouldn t take them together! I m worry about the side effects of metoclopramide I feel I have some of the side effects , what else can I take for my nausea?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, you should definitely stop metoclopramide as on long time use, this can cause many side effects. Instead of metoclopramide, you should take ondensetron. It is newer drug for nausea and vomiting. It is also available in mouth dissolving form, so action is faster, within minutes. It is also safe and not show any drug interactions with antidepressants. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
