I am taking prazopress 2.5 along with it as well, and Fenovas and Aspisol 75. how long does one continue with these meds..Does these med make u gain weight ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for the prescribed medications for your high BP.
The use of Metosartan is not associated with weight gain.

Of the listed medicines for high BP, it is only the Prazopress that is known to cause edema and hence weight gain.
Consult your treating doctor to use an alternate but effective medicine to control your high BP.
Meanwhile reduce your salt intake in the diet.
Other medicines are not known to cause weight gain.
To control the high BP, you will have to take these medicines for life long.

Hope to have answered your query.
