Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Neurontin Cause Elevated BP, Numbness And Tingling Sensation In Body?
I have occipital neuralgia & arteritis, mostly on the R. I was put on Neurotin 300mg q 8. I also take Effexor 100mg BID & Zoloft 50 mg q D. Could numbness & tingling, elevated diastylic b/p be a symptom of medication. Also feeling very anxious, difficulty sleeping. Thank you so much.
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic.I read your question and I understand your concern. Elevated BP and difficulty sleeping are side effects of medication mostly with Effexor. However numbness and tingling are not side effects of these drugs, rather these drugs are used to treat numbness and tingling sensation. I would suggest you not to take these medications at bedtime.Take anxiolytic like alprazolam at bed time. Hope it helps best .
