Does Niacin Help Detoxify The Body?

I have a peek cage fusion on Sept 25th an a blood test to see if I ve been smoking.. I messed up a few days ago and had 4 ciggeretts ..I used to be a pack a day smoker..now am using vap pen with 0 nicotine juice.. if I have any nicotine/ cotine in my blood stream they will cancel the surgery..and I hurt so much I can t miss the surgery.....will niacin help detoxify my body and get rid of nicotine/cotine in my blood stream?

No, but cotinine does get out of the body on its own with a half-life of twelve to seventeen hours. So, a small amount would be down to undetectable in about five days. Having the urine somewhat not concentrated by having a decent fluid intake will lower the level of cotinine in the urine by up to about half of it is borderline positive. And the blood test is far less sensitive than the urine test. Drinking water, niacin, etcetera will not help in a blood test at all.
