Does Nitro Pill Taken For Pain Drops The Heart Rate And BP?
yes, my husband is 61 yrs. old and is on medication for high blood pressure and high sugar. Aprox. a month ago he had 5 stents put in and the 2 months ago he had 2 stents put in, for a total of 7 stents. He does have nitro in case of pain. He had to use 1 nitro pill about an hour ago. The pain went away but he has been keeping track of his blood pressure and heart rate. When he started his heart rate was 61 and now it has dropped to 52. The blood pressure started at 121 over 67. It normal runs high, but since it has been dropping I feel better finding out if his heart rate is ok.
