Does Norethisterone Cause Delayed Periods And Mood Swings?

Hi! Does norethisterone delay your cycle (i.e., if I take it to delay my next period in July, will that also delay the following period in August)? Also, if I experience mood swings when on norethisterone, how long will it take for those to subside? Finally, will my period be significantly worse (more painful cramps) after taking it? Thanks!

Hello dear
Understand your concern
Norethisterone delay the period of particular month only. It will not delay the next month period.
Generally mood swing will not occur in majority of case as it has to taken in low dose to delay the period.
If it will occur, disappear in 7-9 days.
It dose not cause painful cramp and worsening of period.
Some time period may be excessive and prolong.
But all these side effects are tolerable and very mild.
It is prescribed drug and should be taken under the advice of gynecologist.
