Does Norethisterone Cause Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

Hi, i was prescribed norethisterone to delay my period for my wedding day and honeymoon. I am now home and started to bleed today (2days after stopping the pills) however, my period is very heavy and is causing worry as i am passing large clots at every change. Is this normal?

Hi I think it can be a side effect of norethisterone. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid 500mg 3 times per day for 3 to 5 days to stop the bleeding. Don't worry about it. Hope it helps.
