Hi, I have read your question and I understand your concern. I would have loved to know more about the severe stomach infection you had, what tests were done and what diagnosis was arrived at. But from the information provided, two things com to mind. Firstly, it would appear you took the right antibiotic but not long enough to eradicate the infection. Secondly, you may have a new problem related to Norflox which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It may cause what we call pseudomembraneous colitis that manifests as fever, abdominal pain and diarhoea, starting a few days after initiating a course of antibiotics. Either scenario could explain your initial relief and a feeling of uneasiness a few days after stopping Norflox.
