General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes it may cause confusion and memory issues. Nuplazid (Pimavanserin) is a selective serotonin inverse agonist (SSIA) approved for the treatment of hallucinations and delusions associated with psychosis associated with Parkinson’s disease.

Its most common side effects include swelling in the legs or feet due to accumulation of excessive fluid, nausea, confusion, constipation, and changes to normal walking, abnormal state of mind (confused state) and memory impairment. It may also cause QT interval prolongation which may increase the risk of ventricular arrhythmia.

Hope these answer your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
