Does Omeprazole Cause Diarrhea And Black Stool?
I have had diarrhea for about 6 days. I take Omeprazole 40mg daily, and am wondering if that might be the cause. I also take a multivitamin with magnesium. Black tarry stools. I had a colonoscopy a few weeks ago and all was good. Trena Goodwin, YYYY@YYYY

No, omeprazole does not cause black stool or diarrhea, although it may be the multivitamins you are taking is the cause as it contains iron which may cause these symptoms.
