Hello, my husband has been taking Omeprazole for acid reflux for the past ten years. for the last four years he has suffered from atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, for which he has had 2 ablation surgical procedures. Is it possible that Omeprazole has caused his irregular heartbeat? He has never been overweight, has never smoked, has never been a heavy drinker, just the occasional glass of red wine and has always had a healthy diet. He is 65 years old and has always been active. Also we have now found out that he has been anaemic for the past two years so despite his doctor prescribing iron tablets, we cannot seem to cure his anaemia. Could Omeprazole also be causing his anaemia? He is also taking Warfarin. Many thanks, Jan.
