Ovral G is a hormonal medication and a combination birth control pill containing Norgestrel and
Ethinyl Estradiol, which is used for the treatment of menstrual irregularities.
Common side effects include:
vulvovaginal candidiasis, increased blood pressure, decreased glucose tolerance,
breakthrough bleeding, vaginitis, spotty
menstruation, headache, migraine and dizziness.
Other side effects include: abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distention, weight changes, breast changes and
acne vulgaris.
Some of the symptoms what you are experiencing could be due to the use of this medication. Do not worry as these side effects could have been caused primarily due to fluid and water retention, which would subside gradually over a period of time. You may take symptomatic medication in the form of analgesics or anti-emetics, if necessary.
