Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
just wondering if there is acetaminophen in oxycodone. needing to keep track of how much I m using. just had surgery and prescribed hydrocodon and oxycodone which is only to be used in between hydrocodone if needed. also take meds OTC and prescription that have acetaminophen so keeping a log of what I m taking.
As per your question both Hydrocodone and oxycodone are opioid pain relieving drugs also called as Narcotic pain relievers and are used to treat moderate to severe pain.
Acetaminophen is a different drug and it is also used to treat pain and fever.
Oxycodone and hydrocodone are different drugs and acetaminophen is a different drug and you should take any of them only as prescribed by the doctor as excessive use of narcotic drugs can lead to addiction and overdose can lead to poisoning.
Hope your query is solved..
Thanks and regards..
