Does Pantocid Help In Treating H.pylori Infection?
My aunty has been prescribed pantocid HP kit for non specific duodenitis on biopsy. She has found to take this medication due to worsening of bloating sensation and stomach pain while on this medication. Has been advised to only take the morning medication and skip the evening dose. How does that help in eradication of H. pylori.
Hello dear user! Thank you an welcome on HealthcareMagic! I've gone through your query and understand your concerns! Treating H.Pylori requires a combination of drugs known as "triple therapy" to remove that from gastric mucosa. Generally are used two antibiotics and a Protonic pump inhibitor such as omeprazole or pantoprazole you are already using. I would recommend you Amoxicillin+Metronidazole+Pantoprazole(pantocid) for two weeks. In most of the cases this therapy has a lot of success and removes Helicobacter Pylori. Take the drugs under instructions of their leaflets or ask the pharmacist to explain how to take them. Always drink a glass of water to diminish side effects of the drugs. I hope this answer was helpful to you! Please kindly rate it and write a short review about your experience with me! Thank you and best regards! DR ERIOL.
