I have Crohn s and A-Fib. The dr has me on warfarine 3mg s daily. Now all of a sudden my blood is to thin. The only change in my meds. has been the Prednisone. I was on it back in the 80 s to help control inflammation. I d like to know if you feel that the Prednisone could be the reason I can not keep my in order.

Yes, Prednisone also have blood thinning effect. Therefore, concurrent taking Warfarin and Prednisone have more anticoagulant (blood thinning) effect compared to Warfarin alone. After taking Warfarin INR (international normalized ratio) should be checked periodically and the dose of warfarin and Prednisone should be adjusted to achieve targeted INR. Usually, the dose of Prednisone needs to be reduced.
