Does Pregabid Prescribed For Numbness In Palm And Feet Cause Weight Gain?

I started taking Pregabid - 75 mg since last week followed by 3-4 episodes of numbness in my lips, lower cheek, right palm and feet. As I am afraid of making the medicine weight gain, and other side effects i would like to discontinue. Your comments please.

Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Side effects like burning, tingling, numbness or pain in the hands, arms, feet, or legs, rapid weight gain are common after initiation of Pregabid-75. These common side effects disappear after as your body gets used to the medicine. So there is nothing to worry about it at present. If these side effects persist for more than a month then you should consult your doctor. Indication for the drug for you should also be kept in mind. If there is more benefits against some side effects then side effects should be neglected.
