Does Prevent-N Help To Induce Periods?

I missed my periods ad it was overdue , I hv pregnancy test, tat is negative now a physician prescribed me to tk prevent-N thrice a day for three days. Can This medicine help me to get my periods within 3-4 days. Please reply , will b thankful thank you

Prevent N contains 'Norethisterone'. It has typical effects of a progestogen and converts the endometrium from the proliferative to the secretory phase. It is used to treat premenstrual syndrome, painful periods, abnormal heavy bleeding, irregular periods, menopausal syndrome (in combination with oestrogen), or to postpone a period.
Hence it will help you to regularise the periods within 3-4 days.
