General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
In case of delayed periods without pregnancy, bleeding controlled by primolut N, the most likely cause is hormonal imbalance (can be ovarian, thyroid problems, PCOD, uterine fibroids). The cause needs to be pin pointed by investigations &consultation of a gynecologist and treated specifically.
Many a times cyclical courses of the Primolut N can treat irregularities in periods. But in above mentioned cases Primolut N can regulate bleeding, but it can be temporary effect so have to seek expert advice.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
