Does Ranexa Interact With Sertraline And Hydrocodone?

Hi, I take Norvir; Sertraline; Hydrocodone. I am 66 years old and still healthy enough to walk 70 min a day and care for myself, my 3 cats and my house. I have HIV. I had a triple bypass 8 years ago. This summer I found out I have more blockage in my heart. The cardio Doctor put me on Ranexa today. My regular internist emailed me that the drugs listed above have some interaction with the Ranexa and that he was not familiar with the drug. He also said he would leave the prescribing of the Ranexa up to the cardio Doctor who prescribed it. I will be on 500 mg for two weeks, then 1000 mg after that. I will revisit the cardio Doctor on the 31st. I ve started the med as directed by the cardio Doctor. Do you see any reason why I might be in danger and won t be able to take Ranexa with the drugs I listed as ones Ranexa says have an interaction? Thanks, Jim H

Almost all drugs have interactions to others, the safety aproach is to be aware of any new developing signs and synptoms on your general health, I don't think you are in any danger taking your medications, but you have to make sure your both treating doctors knows exactly what are you taking.
