Does Ranitidine Cause Hallucinations And Panic Attacks?

Had a bad reaction to Ranitidine. Sleep hallucinations, panic, back ache and burning/itching sensation in my mid abdomen and insomnia. I take Mirtazapine 45 mg/day. Do you think this is a reaction to the meds. All of these symptoms started within a few days of the Ranitidine dosing?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Ranitidine is antacid. It is very safe drug for long term use without much side effects.
So I don't think your symptoms are related to ranitidine.
In my opinion, your symptoms are due to worsening of underlying psychological disorder.
So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions.
Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anti psychotic drugs to control hallucinations.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
