Does Rapaflo Worsen Intra-abdominal Fungal Infection?
I have just started (4 days in) taking Rapaflo for BPH. Had to discontinue taking fluconazole because of dangerous interaction (my doc was not aware of this). Also, he made no mention of failure to ejacultate while using this drug. Main question: Since I have a chronic intestinal fungal infection, will Rapaflo contribute/make worse this condition? thanks very much.

Rapaflo is in the family of drugs called alpha blocker. They help to relax the muscles and blood flow in the prostate and in this way, improve blood supply.
It does not have any known effects with fungal infections but as you mentioned can interact with fluconazole.
Fluconazole causes increased levels of rapaflo by affecting its breakdown.
It can cause diarrhea in some persons however so this may be a problem for you.
