hii i had laproscopy last month then period is not cone in this month and then i took a pregnency test it is negative then doctor give me regestron 5 mg for 5 day i took that but period not come after 15 day of that tablet and then pregnecy test is positive today ..how tablet will affect pregnency
Hello dear Understand your concern Regesterone 5 mg daily does not affect the pregnancy. But sometime it can be used in pregnancy to prevent the miscarriage and improve the growth of baby. But in some case virilization of fetus can be reported if taken without any defect in hormones. So first exclude the defect in the baby by USG scan. It should be done regularly to find the progress. If any defects found in the fetus during first trimester then it should be terminated under the advice of gynecologist. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
