Does Regestrone Affect Platelet Count?

age 40 yr 5"2 weight 62 kg I have iron deficiency due to heavy bleeding due to adenomyoma. dr. prescribed me tab registrone for six months. before treatment my platellet count is 160000. after treatment my platelet count is 100000. it decreased due to registrone ?

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

I see similar cases amongst people who visit my clinic.

REGESTRONE (norethisterone) does not cause low platelet counts.

Your low platelet count is due to other factor.

Low platelet can be due to some infection also so I advise you to repeat complete blood count with peripheral blood film.

This will be very helpful to rule out other cause and for further management.
