Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Rocephin Cause Hypertension And Aggressive Behaviour?
Recently, I was treated for a sinus and respiratory illness and given a shot of rocefin (sp) and am taking cefelin (antibiotic). Please direct me to a print out on how these can cause hypertenision and effect behavior...cause edginess, nervousness, aggressive behaviors
I understand your concern. Rocefin and cefelin are antibiotics given by your doctor to prevent infections for sinus and respiratory illness. The common side effects of Rocephin are hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Hypertension is unusual after Rocephin. Rocephin might not be the cause of your hypertension and aggressive behaviour. May I know your age and any significant past medical history. You may check up your blood pressure at your nearest clinic.
Hope I cleared your query.
Best!
