I m 54 and have been diagnosed with epididymitis an my right testicle swelled to the size of a baseball. I m healthy otherwise and been married for a long time. My prostrate is a little enlarged and was diagnosed with a UTI. My question is a did stray once about a 1 1/2 years ago , could this be from a STD?
As you are having urinary tract infection with epididymitis and testicular swelling you need to get treated immediately but it does not seem to be any STDs here.
So need not bother about it.
Anyway, you need to be detailed medical history and thoroughly clinical examination by a urologist to get ruled out any other kidney pathology.
You might require antibiotics (quinolones specially levofloxacin in high dose or amixocillin with clavulanic acid) to combat urinary infection completely with other symptomatic treatment like analgesic, antiinflammatories and serratiopeptidases.
Your prostate is mildly enlarged and if it is not causing any difficulty in urine then there is no treatment required for that.
So,it would be advisable that you see urologist immediately.
