Does Saaz Cause Itching On The Hands?
my doctor following me for my Ankylosing Spondilitis from 3 years and taking Saaz 500mg Sulfasalazine delayed-released tablets. Every 3 or 4 months i am visiting my doctor. from 15 months i am taking saaz tablets twice a week according my doctor s advice. from three years i have kinda itching in my both hands fingers. my doctor advised me to use moisturizer and when i used the itching symptoms went off. is this a side effect of saaz intake? is my doctor monitoring my health and any side effects of saaz 500 mg intake? they make my blood test every visit..

It could be due to allergic eruption to Saaz. As a first line management you can try antihistamines like Phenramine for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist consult your physician and go for alternatives.
