Does Spironolactone Help Increase Estrogen Levels In Body?
spironolactone t-blocker for me I am a male to female transsexual do know about them want to know about does it the other hormone in my body raise the estrogen that s at above 84 I want to know I am planning to transistion I want to know other men have estrogen at 84 if you take spironolactone should block the other male hormones so estrogen raise at above the 84
As per my clinical experience, the Spironolactone is an Aldosterone receptor blocker and hence inhibits the Aldosterone mediated sodium potassium channel in distal convulated tubules. The spironolactone is not meant to raise the estrogen level, it is a side effect profile of the drug. Through this side effect, there may be gynecomastia development over a period of time.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
